When I first signed up chickenJ said that her grounds keeper bil used tide on the mounds. I bought some cheep laundry powder and used it. They get it on themselves and then groom. The soap then breaks the natural surface area tension and they drown. You do not even need rain. The soap attracts the moisture from the ground/air/ wherever. If you water it in it works quicker, but if they carry it deeper first before it dissolves it works better.
But it will KILL your grass. It will look burnt almost immediately.
And you have to keep this up for a while. The queens may survive and move, but eventually the mounds get smaller and smaller.
