I Hate it When...

- Not knowing if its boy or girl so I have a hard time naming them
- When they poop all over the place! Its like they save their poop for when I take them out to run around with me.

I hate it when just 1 egg hatches. It's too sad to see a lonely chick and even though I have too many chickens I have to go buy a chick so it won't be alone.

I hate it when I finally get an Appenzeller hen for my Appenzeller rooster, and he dies weeks later...

Me too! I've had a few this year that did not absorb the yolk. They just stand there peeping for hours and then die. I need to be stronger and end their misery.

I also hate that chickens are social animals (in a way I hate it). You can't get just one, then when you have more than one, you can't stop at that. Of course, almost everyone has lost a bird and it is is devastating when you do D':

I hate it if they get sick - then I get so worried.

I hate it when 7 out of my 10 chicks have turned out to be BOYS and I know I can not re home them, or kill them! I have more roosters than hens at the moment.

Wish i knew it came out of an egg a friend gave me a year ago hope yours is not so aggressive as mine i am the only one that can get out of the coop unharmed
