I wonder if drowning would be okay for these stupid puppies

They took most of my broody ducks 13 eggs, so much that she quit the nest. I believe the eggs had about a week left

*gasps* those egg eaters! I'd beat their butts (with a finger) then rehome them and keep one for myself

Beating their butts is my dad's solution...I told him to be my guest, if he can catch them. By the time you get them to come to you, it's been too long for them to remember.....They are going to get tied up, there is only one that is not 'supposed' to stay, and she is too mutt-looking for anyone to want her. She is the good girl, the one my son is keeping and the one my dad is keeping are the trouble makers.....

Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :

Are you smelling any better yet? You and yourself?

I agree, I have heard that skunk smell is one of those that has to wear off....let's hope 'they' are wrong about that! I believe lemon is one thing that takes the smell out, but let's hope you don't have any small knicks on you anywhere if you decide to go that route

I am smelling like: Tomato paste, citrus, fruit, and the best thing to get rid of the smell.................mouth wash!!! Things are back to normal around here, im ready for work and the ribbing that is going to go with it!!

Tori, how are your babies doing? My woodies have pipped, but havnt hatched yet, i hope they do tonite or tomorrow. The little ring teal should be hatching in the next day as well.

Take care!!!.............Jason

The babies are doing mahvelously! The have two new buddies (big buddies!) in the form of a couple of < week old ducklings from my eggs (khaki campbell and a KCxRouen mix). They're half the size of the bigger ducks! LOL! They're cute, but I haven't taken any new photos because they haven't really changed appearance all that much. I will, though.

Glad you are back to normal...

This is one of the best threads I've read in a long time! Jason, I love the way you write!

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/is-that-skunk/video-full-episode/4581/

Here's a link to a PBS video that is all about skunks specifically in Northern California and the north valley. I live near Marysville and I think we'd have a problem with skunks if we didn't have dogs to keep them at bay. This video series also has tips on getting rid of smell.

Thanks for the giggles.

My dogs used to regularly get skunked.. I've tried every method out there and the one i found that works the best... SMOKE EM!

Yes I smoke my dogs fur LOL I use a smoker that bee keeper's use, I put burlap pieces in it to burn and then lightly blow the smoke over my dogs fur with the smoker. They then smell a bit smokey but the skunk smell is gone... even when they get wet later!

Not sure this would be good on Jason though

I say process some more quail, then smoke them again and open the bbq a lot and stand in the smoke ! LOL

Seriously though the bee keeper smoker is awesome. You squeeze it and the smoke comes out slowly.. they use it to lull the bees so they can work on the hives.

I got mine on ebay... my brother is a beekeeper but he wouldnt part with his for my dogs!
