You cannot eat silkies, they grow inside you and mutate so you will end up with a pom pom on your head and fluff on your toes, so there.

Oh no, bantymum. Silkies do more than that when they get eaten.

When you chew a silkie, it gets torn into pieces. When it reaches the stomach, the pieces will come to life(silkie chicks) and grow very fast because they get strength from stomach acid. They will eat their way out of you and you will explode, throwing out the silkies in different directions.

Oh yes, purplechicken, eat the silkies. Chew them very well.

Do silkies even TASTE like chicken?? I think Showgirls probably taste like poodle!! Not that anyone would want to eat one! They just don't look natural! (Although I did see a cutie named Dash on some thread. She was sweet.)
Maybe it's the ones that look pink that look so funny! If they can breed a chicken with a naked neck, why not totally naked! Ha- that would earn you some bucks!! No plucking- just cook and eat!

Yes, sort of. Richer texture but very good. I can see why they are considered
a delicacy. The roos have more meat on them than you would expect.

How many silkies do I have?
One 7 month old splash hen & Two 1 day old Buffs. I'm hoping we can
train the evil out of the buffs.
