"If" we decide to let the male mallards and the female muscoveys free range together, um will they mate???

Pretty sure that would be some strange babies, right?
 
they will mate - they are not particular who, where, when or who's watching!! If you allow babies to hatch, those babies will be mules - not able to reproduce....

Because Muscovy's did not decend from Mallards as the other breeds of duck did. I dont even know what they are, maybe not even 100% duck!
 
Muscovys are not from Mallard descent. They are a South American species, originating from Brazil. Sort of horses & donkeys. But they will interbreed in domestic situations.
