I have 1 hen who everytime

She lays an egg, it looks like its been rolled in fine sand..What gives? Any ideas??

She may have a defective shell gland.

Has it always been this way?

X2. Any goofy, but still good egg, is not sold, but eaten.

I'm glad you asked this. My EE pretty much always lays eggs like this, sometimes worse than others, but always rough. She also now has a prolapsed vent. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, though.
