I have 26 buff orpington's, 25 of which...

have beige/white legs, but one has yellow legs. Is this a cross?? I ordered them from McMurray Hatchery, ordered 25 pullets, got a free one and then the free exotic one. Any help would be appreciated! The chick still looks just like the others, with the exception of the color of the legs. (They'll be 6 wks on Saturday)

Bringing this back up because I found it interesting - when we went to our local state fair, I noticed that all of the buff orpington roosters had yellow legs. We're really hoping that one of ours is a rooster, I guess time will tell!!

thats odd they arent supposed to have yellow legs at all have 8 outside (all of which were free and used to keep the shipment warm) with the white legs. i'm thinking buff rocks. do you have any pics?

Tweety looks like the others, except for the yellow legs - the chickens at the fair were all labeled as buff orps and looked just like mine and my Moms (she also has buff orps). (Although now I'm hoping that in light of our Dom appearing to be a cockerel that we don't have another cockerel in this flock, we plan to get more in the spring!) I have to get more pictures of them, I've been a bit obsessed with getting pictures of my dom today! Very well could be that Tweety is a buff rock, as could the chickens at the fair! I will have to do more research! Mine are only 11 weeks right now though!
