I have 4 hens and 3 of the 4 are trying to mate with a single hen

You have 3 males and 1 female that’s why that one is being attacked. You will have to remove the males and give them their own space or add more females.

Males (roosters or cockerels) need at least 4 females each so they do not fight or over mate with the females which will cause feather damage and stress.
I've always heard 8 to 12 per cockerel

Those ratios are for fertility rates.
People keep birds in pairs, trios and quads all the time. BUT they are usually seasoned breeders so they are roosters and hens, not randy cockerels and pullets.
You need to determine how many birds you want, ensure you have ample room for them and make a decision if you even want (and can have) a cockerel. From the looks of the coop in the pictures, 2 may be all you can keep. That's a very tiny coop.

Thank you

I have 6 cockerels, but it took a lot of choosing and culling. Not all birds fit well together.

“Adding more females” isn’t always the best answer. The ratios that are often given here are used by the big hatcheries to ensure optimal fertilization. It’s not always ideal for a backyard flock. Many people keep breeding pairs or trios that work out just fine. Others can keep the 10/1 ratio and have one or two hens that are constantly over bred while others are ignored.

I see @DobieLover just posted whatI was trying to say, so I’ll stop there.
