Ok! Thank you!With mine I waited a few hours before food and water, to give them time to adjust to...... LIFE. I think after 5 or 6 hours I started to worry and began to worry and just left a small dish of chick feed and water. People say they can go for like 2 days without anything?? Not sure but I wouldn't do that, not even for a whole day.... just give them food and water after an hour or two, they will eat and drink when they feel like it. Oh, and people say you should dip their beaks in water so that they can learn how to drink.... I don't think it matters though, as all animals are ingrained to find food and water right from the get-go.
Let mama decide, just make it available in chick sized containers.We have 3 chicks and 1 is hatching! When will they need food?
If mom knows how to use that kind of waterer.Mom will teach them how to use it.
