I have a chick that I think is sick.... I need help..... I have no idea how to help her!

Well, I lost the little sick chick today.
We moved all the rest but for her and the crossbeaked chick last night into the barn.
I think there was something broken in side her and the pushing and shoving and stress, of getting everyone into the box to move, was just too much for her.

The cross beak Babie got moved in with the rest and seems to be doing ok.
The water is deep and the feed trough is deep as well... she should be ok.
I have another hen with a cross beak that does very well as long as the food and water is deep.

So sorry for your loss...it's hard to lose one especially when they are just babies.

My first loss was an egg I set under a first time broody... she got lost on hatch day and set on the golf ball in another box and the poor babie died right at the every end... I didn't get too mad... just a bit sad... I got even and bought a Hova-Bator... decided I would hatch my own...

I have no plan (yet) to combat this, but I get even.

Mother nature is often cruel, but I think it was a blessing in this instance as the poor little thing was suffering with whatever was wrong.
