I have a chicken with **HOT** Pink on its neck!! What breed is this?

Those feeder cup bottoms & waterer bottoms from feed stores leak color. I've had it stain the bottom of enclosures before when ducklings spill water underneath it.

Highly likely it was one of your waterers/feeders.

Just showed up this week. They are 3.5 weeks old now.

I would say it is a stain for SOMETHING. I have 2 kinds of chickens that look like yours. A Barred Plymouth Rock and a Cuckoo Marran. There chest is black with the same whiting as the rest of them. Yours is still pretty solid. So not being an expert, to me it looks like your chicken hasn’t gotten their chest feathers yet…that these are still baby feathers and that her big girl feathers aren’t in yet. I would wait and see what happens or try a little Dawn dish soap to see if it comes off.

Do you have a pink feeder or waterer that maybe warmed up and this little cutie took a nap on it? Or perhaps something else in the brooder that rubbed off on it like a label/sticker? Better yet, maybe you enjoyed a nice summer popsicle and didn't realize your fingers were stained berry blast pink when you were handling it? I also like the alien theory

This is weird! I have a chick with a purple underbelly and she hasn't be marked, no kids drawing on her, in the brooder with the other chicks unmarked.

Any updates? Did you try to wipe it to see if it would come off?

Could you post a picture of your brooder setup? We might be able to spot something that could’ve stained the little guy/gal.
I personally think that aliens are the most probable answer for this colorful conundrum.
