I have a dominque! I have a dominque!

Baby was a barred rock until I looked at her comb closer. I thought her striping was a bit different than Pig's (barred rock). She's a dominque. I like this hatchery mishap!

Congrats, I have one too, got it at show last week. I also have a Cuckoo Marans(that was called Rock) till I say Cuckoos and figured out what I really had. its nice to find you have something other than what you thought you had. Did you order the barrred rocks? Mine came as an assortment, so tht has been fun figuring out exactly what I got.

I ordered a GL Wyandotte, a SL Wyandotte, a Speckled Sussex, 2 Favorelles and 2 Black Stars and ended up with the Wyandottes, Speckled Sussex, a Barnevelder, a Barred rock, a Dominque and a Star...whatever works!

Unfortunately, I only have the Dominque, SL Wyandotte and Speckled Sussex. Stupid raccoons!!!

Great find on the cuckoo maran! I can't wait to put one in my order for next spring. The one I had this spring turned out to be a roo and I had 12 too many roos at the time...he now has a nice home with my friend Nick. I miss him though.
