One of my EE's lays really large eggs and I have been hatching them with success in my hovabator. Well one of them pipped last night and hasn't progressed all day (getting close to 24 Hours), so I thought I would help it out a little (I know you're not supposed to). I peeled back just the part of the shell that was already detached from the membrane and put it back in the incubator. As I was watching it with a flash light I noticed that he looks really crowded and then noticed that he is smashed up against another membrane lining. As I watched it I noticed that the heartbeats and breathing were on different rhythms. The membrane has a lot of blood still in the veins and now the membrane is drying up. Any advice about what I should do? Or did I already screw up by touching it?
