i have a peep...i need to add humidity(bad news)

You might want to use the method I devised to add water in my homemade incubator.
Just take a piece of 1/4 inch tubing (about 3 feet worth) like you would use in an aquarium; run through a hole in the wall of the incubator placing one end into your humidity tray or container; attach the other end of the tubing to a squeeze bottle (I use a mustard dispenser) by pushing the tube onto the spout and taping with electrical tape for security.
To put water into the incubator tray just squeeze water from the bottle through this tube.
I use this hook up all during my incubation period and never have to open the incubator unless I want to candle the eggs (I don't). I use an automatic turner.

That is a wonderful idea - I'm setting eggs in tomorrow or Tuesday and using an automatic turner for the first time. I've had horrible problems with temp fluctuations from opening so I will definitely do this.

Chickman - good luck with your hatch -

It takes practice and naturally you still may loose one! It does happen, but try not to feel bad and dont take it personally, I know it is hard. You got really far this time, and I know you will make all the way next time!
God bless and good luck to you! Let us know if there is anything we can assist you on, we would be happy to help!

Ditto what Crystalchik said! It didn't work out this time, I am sorry for your loss :aww Look at it as a learning experience. Next time you will know more than the last and you will make it and have some fluffy butts in the incubator. I know you can do it!

If it's something you enjoy it's worth trying again. Everyone has to work at perfecting what they do. If you love it, it is worth it.

Get some eggs, set them, and get back on the horse.
