I am REALLY excited! My muscovy eggs went to the hatcher yesterday, due the 13th...they were some of the first eggs I got when I first started learning to use my incubator...35 days is a LONG time! And.... ONE IS PIPPING!!!!

So, I couldn't call anyone at this time of night just to tell them that, so I thought I'd share with YOU all.

Edited: Today I had a Muscovy hatch from the pipped egg.

Believe it or not, I coached him....after he pipped, I noticed that when I would talk to him, he would rock the egg....so I cheered him on! It took him 24 hours from pip to start zipping, and it took him a full 12 hours to zip. Poor baby! He is REALLY tired! When he comes out of the hatcher tomorrow I'll add a pic.

too fun!!! I like the cheering them on part! Attach pictures when you can.

I wonder why that breed of duck takes 35 days rather than 28 - I guess only mother nature knows!

I love all my birds -- He has a little sister now, but she's not photo-ready yet. She had a sticky hatch, and he is helping her clean up still...maybe in a few days!
