I have a pip! Update: 7/7 out!

Oh man, that's a totally FABULOUS result! Congratulations. I've never had a 100% hatch yet. Best I managed so far was 5/6. And you thought you were messing it up. Ha ha ha. That's pretty funny now, don'tcha think?

If you just sit back and leave no. 7 attached to his hatching gunk, it'll most likely dry up quickly and drop off on its own. Some chicks drag their shell around with them for a while before it detaches. As with most things chicky, best course of action is to sit on your hands and wait.

Oh, and your chicks are adorable. They look so small. But that's just cause I've got an assorted bunch of 3, 5 and 7 week old monsters!

Thanks so much. I will wait then. He was a little slow to hatch and the only one who didn't come out completely free. But hey If that's my only problem right now I am eggstatic. Sorry been 2 days without sleep and getting a tad corny. Wish I could blame the chicks on the second night lost but I spent last night in the ER with my 7 year old son... Strep throat with scarlet fever. I will be glad to sleep tonight. Something tells me I will need it for round 2. Next batch should arrive Wednesday.
