If a Barred Rock Rooster mated a white leghorn hen, would the offspring lay brown or white eggs? I'm looking to get BR chicks in the Spring. I already have RIR's and White leghorn. Just a question , please correspond.

If you bred your RIR to the BR I think you would get sex links

Sex link is a solid roo over a barred hen, not the other way around.

I believe egg color is variable and would be "tinted" (somewhere between the BR light brown and leghorn white) rather than one or the other.

Thanks yall, I will expect the unexpected. Folks around my area go for the brown eggs, or shall I say tinted eggs.
