I have this theory- and it's just a pure guess, if a d'uccle (Mille or porcelain) has more dark on its beak, does that mean it's a boy? I've noticed my adult porcelain d'uccles have mostly dark beaks on the males, and more yellow/horn on the girls.

And I'm guessing, if their feet are mostly pink, they are a girl, and mostly yellow they are a boy?

I also wonder if the spot on their head or absence of one has a significance or not....

Anyone have experience with this?

you can tell the sex of.. parakeets?... by the color of the flesh at the top of thier beaks.. so it's poosible... but i have no experience to back it up... i'll go look at my pair of MFD in the am and compare notes...

Parakeet males have blue nostrils not beaks, I am going to go back and look at those pictures.
This one is all males and looks like all dark beaks.

But here they are as day olds and no dark beaks.

So maybe they get the dark later on but if that is the case, like with the first picture, by then you could already tell they were all cockrels.
