I have a very injured chick. She is a 12 week old buttercup. She has a deformed leg and is weak. Today I went outside to check on her and I saw my 12 week old rooster attacking her, so I ran and picked her up. The skin on the top of her head has been ripped off and one of her ears are exposed. S

Apply antibiotic ointment daily. Birds can heal from such injuries, but it takes time as they heal from the outside inwards. It is essential to keep flies away from the wound. I would invite the cockerel to dinner.
