I have a very stong dislike for the USPS! Grrrrrrrrrr!!! Update :(

MP, Sorry to hear about your terrible experience. This is the main reason I want to find a local hatchery OR someone who will sell chickens. My shipment from Cackle came in just fine. But the customer service wasn't the best. I'm one of the few lucky ones that have caring postal workers. I hope you can get this mess(communication) cleared up between the hatchery and USPS. I vote---- let the 1much take care of it for you!

The postal workers on my end are top notch. It is those between McMurray and Richmond/Fredericksburg that are sorely lacking and need an adjustment.

Oh Miss P, I am sooo verry sorry.

It just never amazes me how people, ( not just the PO) but everywhere, can be so cold, and uncareing. Miss P...my heart goes out to you. I know that is a sight that will haunt you for a long time. Like another poster..I ordered from Hoovers. GREAT customer service...and great delivery times. All 50 of mine made it just plump and spunky.

Oh crap, that is awful! I can not believe the PO would not take chicks in PRIORITY! I can understand about the weather where there will be a cold snap or some ignorant PO worker leaving the box outside of the port to load up the rest of the packages. Its unexcusable!

If you dont want to order any more chicks from McMurray for replacement, ask for money back! Then go order elsewhere. Ideal has been good, all boils down to genetics and bad weather that I would lose chicks, including to my own neglecience (brooder light going out, chick fell out of the cage, etc).

Wish you all the luck on your next batch! Try again!
