Ideal shipped mine Priority, maybe your PO workers are just telling you what you want to hear, these companies are in the business of shipping chicks do you honestly believe they try to slip shipping by the wrong method past the post office in order to save a couple bucks?

aaaawwww man missPrissy...how many are still alive?

This just so bites. When I picked up my little ones, the entire crew in the back came running with cups of water, scissors and fruit. We opened the box and everyone was okay and they got great joy from giving them water and pieces of fruit to peck at on the ride home.

It is a shame than more individuals do not have the common sense to read the post date of when they were shipped, realize "Hey DUH it is Saturday and they will be here till Monday" and conclude "Maybe I should give them some water and maybe some bread, apple or banana" DUH! Flaming idiots I swear. or give you a call to come get them...it is not like NO one will be there all night I mean someone could have gotten them to you if you drive to get them. sheesh so senseless.

Man that is a bummer. So sorry they are not doing well.

My local PO is great. It's a bit country...the office only open a couple hours a day, no out side mail drop box, no access to PO boxes unless it is office hours. But when my eggs came on Sat they called me up to tell me. The mail carrier even met me half way since I am at end of route. I have some very helpful good folks here..

But somewhere in the line things can go wrong.....

No excuse for MM to not take responsibility. They are going to "make it right" correct? I hope so!! It is impossible to make up for a "box of death" being delivered. That is horrible!

Miss Prissy, I am extremely sorry for everything you went through this week-end and then losing some of the remaining chicks. I certainly hope this gets resolved, although that won't make up for the deaths, it would be helpful.

I have chicks coming this week and I am now very scared for those babies. I went to tell my postmaster that I was excepting them and she said isn't it too cold. I told Meyers was still sending them and she said, well just so you know we can't be held responsible for them.

I demanded a full refund this morning. I won't advocate shipped live chicks from hatcheries as they refuse to have any accountability for them at all. The PO is equally responsible but refuse to be held accountable.
