Hey Linda,

I had no idea Cousin Linda was from someplace so exotic to the chicken world. She will need to do some research for us on indigenous breeds there. Many 'remote' islands have neato chicken breeds, such as the Easter Island which has Violacious Rapa Nui, a possible precursor to all South American chicken breeds including Araucanas!

Some Rapa Nui have black bones/skin like Silkies.

I would be curious to know what can be found where she lives....!
