Ok, don't pressure me on the pictures. I might just pull the chick out and satisfy *everyones* urges (including my own.)

Now now everyone, you know I would be a very bad girl to share pics right now
(Can't take pictures through my incubator window--it is a double paned plexiglass complete with dew drops from the hatch)

Here they are!

Everybody say "awwwwwwe" This was my first baby out. He was quick! Ironically he pipped exactly on the X I had drawn on the egg shell!!

two show girls, and my little "squawker"

This is "squawker." He was the last one out. Has what looks to be a malformed skull? Has anyone ever seen this? Otherwise he is very feisty. Everyone else has very cute coo-like chirps. He is a screamer.

This one is the most beautiful color!

This one was very runt like when he came out, and a little spraddle leg. He has poofed out now and is getting around just fine.

I had three eggs left. One had a perfectly formed showgirl chick, in the right position and moist membranes. Just never tried to hatch.

One had a chick in the wrong position with a skull similar to squeakers, except a way larger lump. Don't think this one was meant to make it.

The third is still in the hatcher. It had started to pip early yesterday morning but hasn't done anything since. I peeled away a little around the pip and the chick started cheaping at me! I can see his beak. Wrapped it in a moist paper towel, and will plan on leaving him for the day, then helping tonight if he isn't out.

So right now I have three show girls, two blue or black (not sure) silkies, one silver/splash/blue silkie (not sure) and one white squawker, with one still in the shell that will hopefully make it:fl
