My dad got a batch of "rare" chickens from Murray Mcmurrays. I assume this is a purebred and not a cross. I thought it was a wyandotte at first but I don't think so. Anyone have an idea. Sorry the pics aren't the best.

I honestly don't know, i would guess somewhere along the lines of a badly colored wyandotte/silver penciled plymouth rock...

You will probably get a lot of EE guesses as well. "rare" chicks can be just about anything.. EE's are most common though in it.

I all so have to say a bad Silver Laced Wyandotte or a bad Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock going more for a bad Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock..

I would say no on the SLW, because of the single comb.

Silver Laced Wyandottes can have single combs.

I was thinking a Silver Penciled breed also.

I thought according to the standard, all Wyandottes had to have Rose Combs?

Yes, they HAVE to. But single combs will pop up. Hatcheries may use birds that are Heterozygous for Rosecomb so they may carry single comb. As a result, some of the offspring will have single combs. Hatcheries don't follow the standard like a breeder would. Homozygous for Rosecomb can cause fertility problems, and when you're a hatchery selling hundreds of birds, you need to focus on quantity rather than quality.
