I think I'm just going to hold off on my turkey breeding until I have a suitable set up for them, to keep this from happening again.

That’s a great plan! Like I said, it’s easy to get there, but it sounds like you’ve got a plan to get a handle on things.

It's true, and I'm very dissapointed in myself for it. And now I've got to suck it up and pay the consequences.

It feels bad but honestly this is a great attitude to take. I had a similar situation with rabbits once - it was bad. But there was nothing to do but roll up my sleeves and make it better! Just gotta do the same thing here and find a way to make it work. Maybe you can sell some birds to help pay for the fence repairs/upgrades for example. With my rabbits I ended up eating them and waiting until I had the resources to expand again. Good luck!
