I have died and gone to heaven!!

I'm going, first thing!

I get a lot of "Cull" lumber from the Warehouse stores. (where they make a bad cut and sell for cheap) and I can make nice coops on the cheap.

It's great to make a nice banty coop for $20, but then you usually have to go and spend just as much for hinges and latches.

Thanks sooooo much for the tip! I never knew such a place existed! So I get on google to see if there is one here locally and it is like 1 1/2 miles from me! And I never knew it! This is going to come in soooo handy!

We have 'recycled' places here, they usually go by counties, the items there are free....HUGE selection of paints, primers, and all kinds of doodads....
My husband loads our dodge down everytime we go!
Thought that might help...

They have some construction items too.

ReStores are great, we got some windows for our coop at the local one..... and the other excellent thing about them is that all the profits go to Habitat for Humanity, which is a non-profit that builds nouses for low-income folk. I think they did a lot of rebuilding in New Orleans....
