Don't know why folks get spooled up over a difference of opinion. I'm with Kacky, unless those babies have been eating maraschino cherries, they are definitely Woodies. Never seen any other duckling with that bill with the possible exception of Mandarins. Not much chance of them being in your tree.

I agree, your my hero for rescuing them and caring for them now and giving them a chance at life, which since mama left them they had no chance of before you stepped in. Bless you and please keep us updated on their growth and when you will be releasing them.

A wood duck hen could have laid the eggs but a tree duck could of came and kicked the wood duck hen out could you post some picks of the ducks? So we can see how there doing? Lol
