I have Green Eggs! Can I eat them?

If I knew back in May what I know now (thanks to BYC), I would have definitely ordered a boat-load of Easter Eggers! I love the way they look, and their egg color. I love my girl BO's, but they are white bread as compared to pumpernickel.

As a matter of fact, our zoning limits our chickens to 12, so I was trying to think how I could get DH to build another coop & run in the spring and how I could get just 7 EE's....

We have a 9 YO and 7 YO daughter. They were eagerly awaiting when our pullets would start laying.

As corny (or hammy) as it may be, I think you need to do the Green Egsg and Ham thing with kids. (... or even without them)

I have a confession....wasn't sure if I wanted to admit this to you all but I know you'll understand!

I'm 42 years-young, Skip's a year older and we have no children. Basically, we are just "big kids". I was so excited when I found our first green EE egg that I called several family members and e-mailed others and told them in these exact word..."The Easter Bunny came today!!!"

They were all stunned, stammering and wondering about my mental state I'm sure...except Skip! He knew exactly what had happened and what I meant!

Hey Bubbalex....did you look at that eggshell from the inside? Isn't it a pretty color? Whenever I give a blue/green egg to someone that has never seen one, I make sure to tell them about the eggshell. I never get tired of finding colored eggs (or any egg) in the nest.

I doesnt matter the coloring! My friend has chickens that lay all different colored eggs and there perfect!

When my sister got married about 12 years ago her husband's family had chickens and had Brown eggs in the fridge. When my sister went to cook some eggs one morning and noticed the Brown eggs she said "How do I cook these Brown eggs, do I cook them the same way as the Walmart eggs?"

That's what you get when you mix city people with country folk, and I didn't know only Walmart sold eggs down here in Alabama.
