I have hatched a three legged chick

Quick Update: Tri aka Scooper is doing great! Growing, feathering out and developing a personality. He has become a little "celebrity" around here. I will post some new pics when I have time. My Grandmother, whose is 91 and raised me was put in the hospital Sat morning.

Boy we just had chicken for dinner last night and everyone wanted the legs and thighs and it was said that chickens need to come with more legs. How cool is that. I hope it does fine.

Prayers are going up for your grandmother; hope she is able to get out of the hospital soon!

Thank you so much. It has been a rough couple of weeks. She seemed better yesterday, so we are hoping we have "turned" the corner for the best.

Tri is a sweet chick, he runs around like nothing is different.

His third leg is growing with him at a slower rate and doesn't seem to have any controlled movement. I've got him in a brooder tub with a couple of Delaware and Buff buddies and they play and appear as normal as can be. Guess his buddies haven't noticed he is alittle different!

I had some time to play with the girls and I am definately seeing some personalities come out. DH has been calling him Tri, but I am really noticing alot of hen characteristics. I love Trinity for a hen! She doesn't dominate the girls she is with and hides behing them when a she hears a loud noice. She is curious and runs with the girls and tonight I caught her taking a bath, all stretched out throwing shavings and sand all over. I missed the picture

by the time I got the camera bath time was over.

Here's the newest pictures. She was enjoying soiling my carpet in my brooder room with her friends Buffy the buff and Deli the delaware

They were enjoying their hen session!
Deli was showing off her new white with black trim feathers and Buffy was showing off what looks like will be a big butt full of feathers. Trinity was practicing leaving presents to clean up.

Trinity is proud of her third leg and showed it off to the girls and made them jealous!!!Deli showed her the butt and Buffy stretched her neck as far as she could to show she was not interested.

Trinity posed for a close up of her pretty green legs. All three of them!

After leaving presents the girls said it is time to go home to the brooder! Deli took one more photo op!
