I have hatched a three legged chick

Thank You so much for the Prayers! Grandma is 91 and raised me, so she is Mom. I love her dearly and she is doing so much better! The people in the nursing home love her too and have made leaps and bounds helping her with strength therapy. I think we are days away from her calling bingo numbers again.

Trinity is 3 weeks old now,

and I'm noticing the baths are a nightly thing for her. Bound to be hen the way she preens herself. I hope, I hope!!! I'm going to try to get a picture of it this evening. Still haven't figured out how I'm going to keep her safe and happy once it is time to go out of the house. I have a silkie coop that is totally enclosed and I just advertised them on CL. If I sell them I'm thinking she will have to be in that coop where it is safe. She won't get to free range but I will make sure her and her pen mates get plenty of treats.

Notice I'm calling Trinity a her, I know she's probably too young to know for sure. What do ya'll think. Any ideas by the pictures? Her behavior appears henish.

My DS just read my thread about Trinity and informed me that I definately need to begin potty training! During all my pics it seems that was all they did! Sorry for the potty photos, I'll try to do better the next time, it's just not easy taking pictures in the house, and everytime I snapped a picture, there they did it again, Another present! Maybe I need some of those cute diapers for chicks I saw on BYC the other day. Anyway, I was thrilled however that my college age DS checked on what Mom had been up to.

Have a Blessed day everyone on BYC!!!!

Quick update!!!! Trinity is doing great and growing. I am still hoping for a hen and so far no sign of being a Roo.

Her leg is growing with her and her pen mates don't seem to notice it.

That is so neat! Ive never seen anything like that before! It looks like she is pooping a leg. LOL. I wonder how many chicks are hatched like that in the hatcheries and never see the light of day. You will have to post pictures of her growing up and stuff. Very neat.

Since her name is Trinity, I hope she doesnt become a serial killer that kills in threes.....(sorry, random DEXTER reference there.)
