I have the cutest babies. Anyone know what they are? In this coop I have two roosters, a crave ceour and a half Americana and half frizzle cochin. I have two Americana, two arucanas, three black Marans, a silver and a gold laced wyandott hens.
I suppose they could be a mixture of multiples. The problem is, my black rooster likes the light girls, and the white rooster likes the black girls, so basically we'll have to rely on everyone's experience in raising chicks, cuz this is my first set of babies. I'm so excited, I can't wait to find out what they are![IMG]

The chicks are mixed breed chicks - as to what mix, that may be a matter of waiting until they have feathered out and even then may not be clear. What color of eggs were in the clutch that were hatched? Do you have photos of the Ameraucana and Araucana birds so that we can see what color patterns you are working with on those genetics (if any of the eggs were blue)?

I'm not entirely sure what one of the eggs color was, but one of the yellow chicks (the one with the soft gold feathers came from a brown egg. I low that another egg was green, but not sure if the black or lighter yellow chick (with the black spots) came from that egg, and I don't know the color of the other egg. The black chick has black bald leggs and feet. The two yellow chicks have yellow legs and feet.

Does your Ameraucana/Cochin rooster have feathered legs and muffs? Those are both dominant traits of each breed that he's mixed with.
