I have new chicks! Come follow as they grow.

Thank you! I don't even know what color he is. I have asked but he isn't an official color.
I have the same problem with my silkie boy. We finally came to the conclusion he is paint.....some weird kind of paint

Aw so handsome! I had some people tell me Pickle was a paint and some said Columbian Gray. I am planning to get him some black silkie hens to see what his babies turn out to look like.

Thanks he's my baby. He's such a good boy to me and his hens.
Oooo I bet they would be nice babies. I want to get a black or blue silkie hen too. I do have 2 paints so maybe I could "make" a black one. I love breeding and seeing what happens, if I had room I'd be constantly hatching

I would probably call your silkie rooster "Black Tailed White," even if that is not an official Silkie color. Japanese Bantams do have a variety called Black Tailed White, and it certainly seems like the obvious term for a white chicken with a black tail.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been updating, we have been super busy lately.
The chicks are doing great, the 2 cinnamon queens and sapphire gems have tails and are growing a few feathers but Susie the buff orp has no tail or feathers besides her wings. They turn 2 weeks tomorrow

Well I have pondered getting rid of the two cinnamon queens since they were supposed to be blue laced red wyandottes but.......I am way to attached......one of they fell asleep in my lap the other day. There's no way I could part, oh well they are sticking around, I will just have more chickens then I originally planned.
