I have no idea what I am doing

I was curious about weather or not it was safe to let my duck have free run of my yard once it is old enough to go outside because I did fertilize and lime the grass in early spring. I didn't plan on the duckling and now I'm not sure What to do

If it was a month or more ago, it should be safe by now...

Evening all. We tried for a little splashing fun but as with everything Lucky does it was way more than I could handle. With only about half an inch of water I held his little feet in it to get him used to it and he wanted out of my hands I put him in and he seemed ok and was splashing a little with his beak so I let him go and he dove head first under the water and zoomed from one side of the Pyrex dish to the other. I grabbed him and let him relax for a min and tried it again and he did the same thing. A bit too much for my taste. Not sure if he wanted to do that or just freaked. My guess is he meant to lol. I can't believe the energy
Blahhhh ha ha I had that same experience with mine. Two of them paddled around nice and easy while the third totally disappeared under water torpedo style and circles the cat litter pan three times before coming up for air! I was so shocked I couldn't stop her if I wanted to. She looked at me like what? You never saw a torpedo duck before? I had no idea they would dive that deep and stay under so long!

That is SUPER cute!! :love

As far as fertilizer and lime, lime should be fine (it is a naturally occurring rock) and I asked my vet about fertilizer and she said after a couple good rain storms or heavy waterings- you don't want to see the fertilizer pellets in the grass
