I have no idea what I am doing

I guess the ducks eventually get used to the noise of the plastic?

Yes... but if a piece ever comes loose and flaps in the breeze, all bets are off! But they do get used to the noise and a little movement... just make sure it's secure... @NotAFarm nailed it with the tack stripping... :)

I have quite a bit of plywood left from replacing the roof. I thought of cutting it into long strips and using that the screw the plastic down. I also saw large rolls to purchase in 100 ft lengths which is what I will need. It come in different strengths measured in "mil" any experience with this?

Stupid question.....is it normal that ducks will not go in their coop during the day to escape bad weather? They have access to the coop 24/7 but seem to stay out in the cold and rain. I'm hoping that they will start going inside when the really bad winter weather arrives. Is there anything I can do the entice them to go inside during bad weather?
they love gross wet weather

I need more advice. I now have an area about 5x6 that has little to no grass left mostly due to all of the construction and traffic in the run. It is also the entrance area to the run. I was going to level it out with topsoil and put drag did down but I was also looking for more durable ideas. I put a small area of brick for where we would walk in and out but want some of your ideas. Pictures would help too. I'm def not looking to put hay or straw down. The rest of the run is very durable zoysia grass and it's still in great shape

Maybe a small pea gravel area around the bricks, kept in place with some 'edging'.?
The bricks should be good for wearing down toenails.:D
