I have no idea what I am doing

I just remembered that you have a stock tank so that red one is probably your best option
I'm still undecided. That one also had mixed reviews. We are tossing the thought of just using a floating one, putting it in at night while the ducks are put up and removing it during the day. Most of the time it wouldn't freeze during the day, just over night. And I'm like you scared to leave it on all the time.

I hope everyone is toasty warm inside this evening. To say it's cold here on Long Island is an understatement. It's currently 15 degrees with a wind chill of -1. My poor babies refuse to stay in their coop and are out in their run sitting 95% of the time to keep their feet from freezing. It looks like another sleepless night worrying although every time I check the cameras during my sleepless nights they seem to be sleeping just fine lol.
:hugs no worries, theyll be fine our windchill was -32 (though it was said to be -40 or so at times)

and they were out and about doin' there little ducky thing just stopping more to warm their webs

I had a nice long visit with my grandpa in the nursing home today. . he has his byc calendar I gave him for Christmas proudly hanging up all ready for the new year :)
I told him all about lucky and her story and how she is the luckiest ducky to find such caring people to hatch and raise her.
He especially liked the part about how you give up your gazebo to make a house for her :p
He said " well I declare. . that is one lucky duck"
:gigThanks again for sharing this story. My grandpa is sure proud of his calendar lol.

That is way sweet!!

My fave part of the story will always be the improv of her egg in the car ride to stay warm! :lau

Oh ya! Me too. I told him about that too. He laughed and laughed.
Oh I told him about peg too and how you take her places like Lowe's :lau
He said she was very pretty. :love

Aww, tell him Peg says thanks! She's my little sweet PITA, lol...

But Lucky is the hero here... her determination to hatch and Steve's belief in her made it all happen... :)
