I have no idea what I am doing

And even with Teflon it has to reach a temp of I think 300 degrees or so to be toxic. .
I have people around me that burn leaves and stuff a lot and occasionally the smoke rolls right into my duck run . . not good for them I'm sure But being that they aren't closed up with the smoke they have been fine. :hugs
I wouldn't worry.
 
It’s whatever caked up on the heating element over the last winter. I’m sick to my stomach I just hope they are ok
Also the heater was hanging about 4 feet off the ground when it happened and they were at ground level but it did smell in the run before I ripped the covering down to air it out

I'm sure they will be fine!
But wow. Thanks for that warning. I always try to make sure I don't let mine sit without being in water for more than a few seconds. . I will be extra cautious now!
