I really like the idea of a gift to Heifer or another similar organization, to Habitat to Humanity, to plant trees..., or to a local soup kitchen or to buy a Christmas gifts/dinner for a family in need....Much as I love to open gifts and I do, it's the homemade treasures that I love and tis really more blessed to give than receive...

If you have a special friend on BYC, of course you could send some hatching eggs they might like and/or a Gold Membership or something from the store, cookbook? calendar?!

I always ask for Kitchen gadgets, like neatly colored bowls, utensils like spatulas, mixing spoons, the little bowls for individual sauces or for measuring seasonings....I asked for an on sale Steam mop this year from my MIL - one from a black Friday ad.

That's about the only thing I could think of....I'm being a major bah humbug this year

We suffered a huge pay cut from our primary paycheck and it has just really hurt our finances. We've managed to live thru the last 9 months skimping along and finding deals on stuff, but neither Hubs or I are "with the spirit" this year.....
