i picked her up from the nest an gently set her down on the coop floor. she stayed in the same position and i found two eggs under her. Do you think the eggs are still good? andyway, just a few moments after that she got up, ran outside and went stright to the water bowl. she is now standing in the water-is that normal? thank you all so much.
Sounds (to me) like SHE thinks she's ready to be a momma hen. Too bad, since you don't have a rooster. Maybe you could get some fertile eggs to place uder her some night. It's so easy, to let the hen be the mommy. The only hard part for us is that WE are the outsider.Until they realize we control the food & treats! LOL!
