I have searched & searched: Bantam/Small leghorn cross eggs, will chick grow to size?

Im sitting here thinking and now I would like opinions:

Day 18 for some eggs is this Thursday. Which puts the others at day 15.

Since most of them are half bantam, do I lock down all on Thursday? In case of early pips? Or should I wait to lock down until I hear an internal pip?

Thoughts?

Thank you! That is what I suspected. I live in an area of Florida that is VERY humid. This particular homemade bater I get near 100% by hatching dry and then literally adding one soaked sponge at internal pip and that's it. Bumps it to 60 - 65% fast. And by the time I get first hatch the hatches keep it up from there. I learned that the hard way early on. So hopefully I'll be aware of first peep and can just toss the sponge into the pan!

Sweet! Hope it goes well for you. Can’t wait to see some pics. :)

Omg me too! As I get closer I get more nervous. After back to back power failures killing my hatches at 50%... I was so doubtful I even named this one "The IDGAF hatch" on my app
But, now I do very much GAF lol

Todays Candle. I'll candle once more on day 18. Might candle younger eggs if I get a chance before an internal pip on older eggs. Im not locking down til first IP. Will just stop turning older eggs .
