I Have Some Questions About Pigeons ! Breeding, Feeding, etc.

Hello everyone ! I'm looking to get some answers answers to my questions. Any answers and advice given is greatly appreciated !

1 - My pigeons are getting a good quality wild bird seed, but they need grit. I'be given them a bowl of sand, is this alright ? I noticed them picking around in it c:

2 - I have eggs due to hatch tomorrow, will the parents sit on their young after they hatch to keep them warm ? Will the young have feathers ?

3 - Next winter, will the pigeons be alright in my shed out back ? It's not heated, it's partially insulated though and draft free. The pigeons will have plenty of straw. I'm in Southern Ontario, Canada.

1.I don't think wild bird seed has a lot of nutritional value they should be on pigeon feed or layer pellets. I'm sure sand helps,but I would buy some pigeon grit.
2.the squabs are hatched eyes closed with no feathers and totaly dependent on there parents to feed them (pigeon milk) and keap them warm.
3. I've never lived any were that cold, but they should be fine.
