I have to cull the flock of my dreams

I agree with Golden Feather - people keep sick birds and then try to cure them - if they are sucessful then they have chickens that can affect other chickens for life - if everyone would cull their sick chickens most of the disease problems would go away - this type of behavior just makes it harder on all chicken owners - if you have a sick chicken - cull it - and do every chicken owner a favor - a disease can spread in a million ways to otherwise healthy flocks - I think when people have sick chickens and don't cull them they are really thinking of themselves - their own feelings and not the chickens - just my $2.00 worth -

Im just curious over this...if you notice a sick chicken well is it like in humans, most of the exposure and highest risk of being contagious is BEFORE even noticing symptom?
