I have to talk POLISH!

Sorry if this post twice- I don't think it posted the first time. I have a crele Polish. He has light legs. Light legs is disqualification for Polish, if I read it correctly. Trying to find a small chance that he wouldn't be DQ'd under "other variety".

Thanks!

I have to show mine under AOV. Your Cockerel is very nice. The only thing hard to develop is the red in the wings. That was the last thing I had to really work on. The last judge was really pleased. I would show him anyway even under AOV.

The smooth came from Dick Hortsman and the frizzle from a small farm in Texas (I am in North Carolina and my baby chicks are more traveled than I am!) I am starting (not starting, but hatching and growing some) a new flock of all white bantam polish, so I can't wait to get them up and started.
We show in junior APA ABA and 4h, so we are excited. Of the 20 bantam polish, these had the best head feathers so far.
I have a Tolbunt Polish egg that pipped this morning. Still has not zipped/hatched. Do the Polish hatch just like any other chicks? I've never hatched Polish eggs before. This is not a bantam but a LF that was given to me at a chicken show by a very gracious exhibitor. Its a Tolbunt hen with Tolbunt frizzle rooster....so not sure what I will get when it comes out.

can anyone post some pics of s SOP silver-laced hen, or post the SOP? I have a SL pullet that is shaping up very nicely to what my limited knowledge of the standard is. I will be getting some better pics to be able to compare this evening, she is about 8-10 weeks old. I am curious if she is close enough to standard to give me a starting point or if she is just pretty to me!

thanks in advance!

It's hard to tell with the last pic since you can't see much of the crest but they all look like pullets to me.

Nice thank you for posting photos..

Love our polish babies.. Advice on doing a switch a roo.
We have our speckled sussex sitting on 19 small to medium eggs.. From our flock.. She is not separated from the flock..
We are hoping to build a small tractor for her and the new ones.. Our polish are 2 weeks old, do you think we could switch
out the new ones for the 2 week old ones?

& do you think the other hens or roo will go after the babies? New & the switched ones.. If we can pull that off??

We have the babies in a make shift wire cage where they have all been looking at each other. Nothing agressive..

Thank you for the advice..
