I have to talk POLISH!

Adorable! What feed store has them? I have a broody bantam that would like some of those!

Lee's Feed & Western Store. Prior to this I, quite literally, called every store within 100 miles of me looking for Polish. If I had known they were ordering more I would have held off picking up some bantam silkies a couple weeks ago. :) Good news is, I have a lot of friends who wouldn't mind some silkies!

They didn't have many, and it seems there were a lot of buff laced. Since I have 4 of those already I didn't bother grabbing more. Just praying some of these turn out female!! The last 7 I grabbed from Lee's were all they had and 4 of them turned out to be boys. D'oh! I love them too much to really rehome them but I have roos out my eyeballs. Need to find some homes for my silkie boys I think.

Had gotten some tolbult hatching eggs. I figured the best way was under one of my sons silkies. She was already broody but I figured they should have hatched end of last week the latest. Left her sitting and when I went out this morning to feed everyone I noticed she had an emtpy shell next to her. Look what I found under her! Can you guys tell me what you think? Does this chick look like a tolbult? I am so excited reguardless!

OMG! What a nice surprise!

KEpp, I use Ichthamol smeared on their head to stop poof picking. It wears off by itself. You may have to re apply it alot.

My WCB at top and then the Crele project that went drably wrong- lol. I'm sticking to pure colors. I'm going to do pure colors from now on :)

That 2nd one looks interesting. I think my Crele thing is a wash as well. I may try to hatch a few next year. So far the 2 I hatched were from a Crele roo, and didn't pick up any of his pattern.

Not close to me. I am up near Auburn. I was hoping Echo Valley feed had some. I got a couple (one WC blue and one WC splash) bantam Polish from them a couple of years ago and was really surprised at how nice the quality was. Both turned out to be pretty pullets

I ended up giving them to a friend (who still has them) because at the time I didn't have other bantams (a pen) to keep them with. Now that I have Polish (from private breeders) I have a pen for them.

Hoping you get lots of girls!

Oh bummer! Yeah, that is a ways. Hopefully these little ones will be mostly female so that I will have a good selection of all sizes and colors. :) Good luck finding more! They can be tough to find in these parts!
