We lost one more chick. I was always worried about her but just yesterday afternoon I was thinking she was doing so much better and might make it after all. Eating, drinking on her own, running around with the other chicks. Checked on her a few hours later and she was on her death bed and died just minutes later. We're down to 11 out of 18.
I'm never doing Polish shipped after this batch!

I'm so up set. I got home and my son's dog had my Blue Polish roo. I wanted to kill the dog. Where will I find another to go with my hen. He was so sweet.

You were smart to start with 18! We had one with bloody stool yesterday, which has stopped. I gave antibiotics to all chicks. Keeping fingers crossed.

Oh I went ballistic. I beat the crap out of it with the body. Then turned and some body in a car had stopped on the road and was watching. I figured they called the police on me. Crazy lady beating dog with dead chicken. I did feel bad later because the dog was chained up and the chicken went to it. I chained her after she killed the first one and have been trying to give it away or get one of the rescue groups to take it.

Get rid of the feed you have now. Don't ferment it, and treat for coccidiosis. That's would I would do.
