My comment on the other thread... Leaning towards roos. How old are they? They have a lot of red if they are as young as they look. The crests on the first two are also very spiky. Can't see the crest on the last one.

about 11-12 weeks i will know for sure in a few more weeks but wanted some guesses. my silver laced had the messy crest to at a young age

I just acquired a new polish-in quarantine- and I see the same pointy feathers as my other. Both are 6 weeks old. I will post pics of my new one soon. Most breeds don't have pointy feathers in females like these. Are the Polish different? Thanks in advance for answering my stupid question

Do polish have trouble with heat? We have lost three. they are fine in the morning, when we feed in the evening we find one dead. they had access to shade all day but the whole pen is not shaded. they are all young maybe 5-6 months or less. Our rooster was stumbling, acting disoriented so we separated him into an area that is shady all the time and he is fine.
I lost some because of the heat. I think it was because they were used to the A/C when I put them out. Now, I have 10 4 month olds (large size) in the house. I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOo happy because it was cool enough to leave them out today. My adult Polish are just fine. I live in GA.

Ziggy (1 yr old hen) and her future arranged marriage mate, Sid. She's a cougar. I don't keep them together, he's will chicks his age, only took him out for the photo. No pecking.

Her comb looks big in the pic for some reason. She has a normal one.
