I sprayed blue coat on his head cause the other chickens were pecking his bear head that is why it is wet but that was after i noticed his wattles. Yes it has been below freezing here for 3 days yesterday and today are the fist days it has been above frezeing and this moring it was 12 dergeres when i got up. His wattles have gone down it size since yesterday to almost normal but look a little pale.

Sounds like frost bite to me. Don't be surprised if they turn black. I don't know how to tell you to treat them other than putting bag balm on them. I would coat them really thick in it. I would also post on the medical threads about it to see if there is anything other to do for him.

Thanks! I didn't get any from the show. Only got a book, and a cage feeder- can you believe it? I did see a Partridge roo that I really liked. I didn't get him because I was being loyal to the boy that I hatched out. He's been keeping his little pullet future mate hiding in a corner, tho. I put another pullet in to kind of take some of the pressure off of her- but he was mean to her, too. Made me mad. I emailed the lady while ago, and she still has the one that I liked so much! I'm picking him up in February,. My Valentine's present. She lives about 4 hrs away. She said that there is another show Feb 1st, so I'm going to get pick him up then.

Hopefully you can find a boy to go with the others by then too. You know to celebrate Presidents Day. I thought I was the only one who did that. That's how I keep up with the age of mine and when I bought them. lol

I have finally gotten all of my polish together...they are all pure but will be mixed colored. I have a pure gold laced, 3 pure gold hens, 1 buff, 1 blue splash, 1 crele hen. what colors were mixed to get crele? I did have a crele rooster but he died in the last ice storm...I am so glad I had Big John to put in with my girls. I'm not hatching right now but I can't wait to hatch my polish to see what I get...I am crossing my fingers that I will start getting lots of eggs soon.
