I have to talk POLISH!

I'm new to the polish breed and I have been hearing how hard it is to sex this species. Are there any simpler ways to tell gender?

How well do Polish frizzles do in the cold?

I wouldn't say that. I live in Minnesota and this past winter was awful. Temperatures dropped below -20 degrees with -50 degree wind chills on multiple occasions.

All of our birds are kept in an old barn. It's not heated and it's not insulated.

I don't have any frizzled polish, but all of my polish and frizzled cochins did fine.

Even my sizzle hen Joey did ok and she's half bald.

Absolute easier and quickest way to get a definite answer would be to send in a feather sample to Avian Biotech and get it DNA tested. It costs just over $20 and results are usually back in about a week. Otherwise you raise them up and wait for them to mature.

ok time to post some pics of my pretty polish's.. i got alot so not going to put them all up.. but i will have to get some pics of my babies but for now here are the adults :D and by the way i have about 12 different breeds of chickens and all my polish's are the BOSS's in the clans.. boy are they.. they even boss me around :p
