Just saw this post and love it!!! My son insisted we get a polish hen and she quickly turned into our family favorite!! Being fairly new to chickens, I didn't realize polish are so unique.... I really do think we have a special needs chicken! Her first night, my older hens pulled out most of her top knot and she has been in a coop all to herself since then. Does anyone think she'll be able to co-exist with my other hens? My oldest is a 6 month Wyandotte (rooster ruler) and my polish is 4 months. I'm not really sure if she knows she's a chicken or not....

Finally, if anyone noticed or is interested in chicken pedicures....they can contact my daughter!! Baahaahaa!!!!

The roo with the raspberry comb has super interesting color, I would probably be more interested in what I could make from that. The black/white hen, well, I have one of those!!! We have been trying to hatch her a husband , LOL.

The last roo, his poof looks perfectly balanced to me, all I've had so far is poofs that lean to one side or the other.

I would have no idea what SOP is, I can pick out blatent mistakes. I'm more into color, and I will be seeing what interesting colors I can do. But I understand what you want to know. It's fun to know how close to SOP any of your birds are-just because.

This was his brother, Eddie. Eddie was crooked all over. He was always a little odd. We loved him the most. In two years , not a day went by without my hubby or I commenting on Eddie. He died of a brain injury.

What are you trying to hatch for your white splash? Black to make blue? That makes blue right? Still learning.....

I really don't know if you can fix the Silver Laced girls' lacing, honestly. With just searching for any Silver Laced male for them, chances are no, you won't improve the lacing. You gotta look for a really nice one, which is pretty darn rare.


The WCB male without the comb looks quite nice, but his tail hangs really low, and he appears pretty young. His crest is nice though, but those aren't the best photos to judge.

I live the white girl with the black leakage, but her color really isn't much to comment about. I'm sorry but I don't know what "exotic colors" the breeder was eyeing for.

Those SLP girls are standard size. I was shocked when I went to pick them up for $10/each. I would love to get a nice SLP Roo for them. I got them from a couple local boys who I'm not sure knew what they had. I was told they had been laying but have not laid for me, as they probably won't til spring. They haven't been with me long enough to adjust to the relocation yet. They are so pretty. Thank you!
