I have to talk POLISH!

I don't know if I'd say they're really big, but they're bigger than some other breeds out there and good Polish are meatier and heavier than you'd think.

As for shipping, I always write LIVE EMBRYOS on my boxes. Keeps people guessing or thinking the wrong thing, thus making them more careful. The ladies working at my local PO thought I was literally shipping human embryos.

As for distance, I've shipped to NJ with good fertility/hatch rate before, good and bad things can always happen, but the safe distance I'd say is stay on your side of the Miss. river or Rockies if you're too worried. Personally I like receiving eggs from wherever, because if I really want something I'll get it.

That is funny, Well maybe i will give it a try, how much is shipping usually sometimes i have seen were it is more that what the item cost in the first place.

I never sex laced Polish by crest shape/size at this age, however a little older and I always take a look at the lacing behavior. If the breast lacing differs greatly from the neck/back/wings, it is very likely a male.

But in most cases I just wait til about 2-3 months when they develop little baby saddle feathers. Should be shiny little triangular feathers right between the wings on the back.

if I guessed on those two buff lace I'd say a boy in front and a girl in back.

but I agree with Illia - just wait another month or so, and you'll start seeing color/lacing differences if they are a pair.

I can't see anything in those two that would make me think boy yet. Aren't the boys a bit deeper in buff than the girls? That's what I have noticed in show and when I bought a grown out pullet. The boys were more deep buff and the girls were lighter.

Here is my girl. Her crest is not round, but is very much a girl :p She is a huge fan of the butt handshake! Can someone PLEASE help me determine her age. She is under 6 months for sure, as she was considered a chick Sept 24th when purchased at a show (not by me, but by a breeder I go though.) Her brothers were so obviously male when I picked her out on November 19th, so I am having a hard time figuring out her age.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a Wheaten Polish? I hadn't until Saturday (1-14-2012), seen one and bought it. She is beautiful, crest could use some work though, it is half 9or there about) white and half wheaten.

How's her comb, nostrils, and leg color? Body type?

She might be a new project color, might still be in the works too.

Have to get back to be sure. I think the legs are blue like polish. Comb is V and the nostrils are fairly large. Body type is very much polish type maybe a tad bit larger than a hen though.

I'll try to get pictures this weekend if it is warmer and not rainy.
I'll also get some of the Polish/NN cross, I bought it ans gave it to my brother, she was a bantam.
