Well I can beat you all. I have a PURE tolbunt hen that is a year and a half old and has yet to lay. She makes the noise...she sits in the box...but no egg....I don't know why but all mine take forever to lay. I have some I hatched in January that are not laying yet! My average is 9 months! It's funny because I have runner ducks that were born march 26th and started laying in July! Great layers too! I wish my polish did that! Lol
Sorry for taking so long in getting back...trying to finish up the season and get my horses sold. Here is the link to Bario's page...you can click the link to his page there. He has some very nice info.Would you have a link to Bario's page by any chance?
I have a small camping fan that I attach to one of the cages that I line with paper then turn it on a med setting and let them dry. Takes a lot of work out of having to run the hair dryer. Here's the offender after a quick shampoo. He was not very happy about it. If anyone would have told me years ago, that I would be sitting here shampooing and blow drying a chicken, I would have told them they were nuts. lol. He's panting a bit in one pic ... stress and probably the blow dryer. I had it on the coolest setting.
